Hi, I’m Salvo: My Journey to Becoming a Life Coach
If you’re here, you’re probably curious about who I am and why I’ve decided to help you. Well, let me share my story with you.
My name is Salvo, short for Salvatore, and I’m Italian—born and raised in beautiful Sicily. But my journey truly began when I left Sicily at 24 years old. At that time, I felt stuck. There was nothing in my hometown that helped me figure out what to do with my life. So, I made a bold decision to move to England, specifically London.

Starting Over in London
London was a world of new experiences: a new country, a new language, and new cultures to navigate. It was tough at first, but I was determined. I started working in the hospitality industry, and as I struggled to adapt, I turned to books—especially those about body language and psychology—to help me understand people better.
Slowly but surely, my interest in psychology grew. I was passionate about it but never had the courage to pursue a degree at university. So, I kept working in hotels, eventually becoming an F&B Supervisor.
My approach to people changed thanks to the books I was reading. I became a different person—more empathetic, more understanding. At work, I wasn’t just a supervisor; I was a leader. My colleagues loved working with me, and people naturally started opening up to me about their lives. Somehow, I always managed to help them with my words and empathy.

Returning to Italy and Hitting Rock Bottom
After three years in London, I decided to return to Italy. The truth is, I still hadn’t found the answers I was searching for, and I was in a relationship at the time—we thought Italy might be the fresh start we needed.
I moved to Milan, but things didn’t go as planned. I wasn’t happy, and after six months, the COVID pandemic hit. I lost my job, was stuck in lockdown, and eventually returned to Sicily, feeling lost, broke, and heartbroken after my relationship ended.
This was my lowest point. I had no direction, no motivation, and no hope. But in the darkness, a small voice inside me asked: What are you doing with your life?

Climbing Out of the Darkness
That question lit a spark in me. I started climbing out of the darkness, one step at a time. I bought more books about psychology, joined a gym to take care of my body and mind, and started working at a local restaurant.
Day by day, I felt a little better. But the big answers I was searching for still eluded me. Then, an opportunity came from my niece and uncle to go to America. I was excited—finally, a chance to start fresh!
Unfortunately, things didn’t work out as planned. I couldn’t get the sponsorship needed to stay long-term, and I was heartbroken. But I wasn’t ready to give up. Just two weeks before my visa expired, I received a call from an F&B Director in Germany who offered me a job as an F&B Supervisor. Without hesitation, I said yes.

Finding My Purpose in Germany
Moving to Germany was another challenge. I didn’t speak the language, and I was completely alone in a small town. I struggled with loneliness and depression and wanted to give up so many times.
But then something unexpected happened: I met someone who was even more depressed than I was. Helping them find hope and motivation reignited something inside me. I realized that through my struggles, I had developed the strength and empathy to guide others.
That’s when I finally found the answer I’d been searching for all along: My purpose is to help people.

Why I Became a Coach
In the hospitality industry, I was more than just a supervisor—I was a motivator, a guide, and a trusted friend. People came to me for advice, and I was able to help them find clarity and confidence.
Now, I want to do the same for you. I’ve lived through the uncertainty of life transitions, the weight of depression, and the struggle to find purpose. I know how hard it can be, but I also know it’s possible to come out stronger on the other side.
That’s why I became a life coach. I want to help you discover who you truly are and reach the goals and dreams you’ve always wanted.
Let’s take this journey together.
